Your priority is to shut off the main water valve as soon as you can. That way, you can help stop any more flooding and prevent structural damage. Next, call in the plumbing team at Bob’s. A toilet runs for a few reasons. Lift the lid off the tank and check a few things. First, inspect the rubber flapper valve at the bottom. If it’s warped or not sealing properly, replace it. Next, take a look at the tank float arm, making sure the water level stops filling before it reaches the overflow tube, and the lift chain, which may be preventing that flapper from closing. If all else fails, Bob’s won’t. Give us a call.
